- Comox Valley Regional District challenged about water 'facts' is the title of the (CVR May 19, 2011) coverage of my presentation to the Water Committee. I was pointing out that RD staff used incorrect and misleading data to trick the directors into approving the Water Efficiency Plan. There never was a need for any reduction in water use - our usage compared well with BC; water use was near constant since 2000 even with a population growth; infrastructure has been upgraded in preparation for more growth; and the public has been water smart.
